What should be considered when EPE sheet is used as a buffer material?
The performance of EPE cushioning material has three aspects which are as the following: 
1. Determine the vibration absorption capacity of the packaging material.
In the process of transportation, loading and unloading, in addition to the impact force from the external part, the object must also withstand the acceleration impact force during oscillation. The oscillating external force causes the packaged product to form a resonance phenomenon, which increases the amplitude and easily leads to damage. Therefore, the buffer material should have the ability to absorb the external force of oscillation and achieve the performance of eliminating oscillation.
2. Check the recovery ability of the packaging materials
After the packing material is reloaded, it gets deformation. When the additional load is removed, the material will recover to the former shape. If it can recovers well, then it is good material.
3. Evaluate the absorptivity of the impact of the packaging material.
Generally, the buffer material has a large impact absorption. But it doesn’t mean the bigger the better, when choosing the material, you should choose the suitable one according to the stress-strain curves of various materials.
